"Aurat VS Darurat" in O&G

Bismillah :)

I have wrote this and i want to make it as facebook status.But it may be quite sensitive issue.So i just want to share here.

Most of us unconsciously just pretending to put the religion as it is the first thing that we concern the most .But please just accept that, it is NOT.

Why i said so ?

As im in Obstetric & Gynaecology round (in simplest to understand, pregnancy related,delivery,babies,menses,women problem lah).Okay ? Hehe. So , that day when there was an issue popped out about " Aurat VS Darurat".Yes, patient do have rights.Even we do.As a medical student, we honourly respect it. We feel please whenever given an opportunity to observe them (ladies) either to deliver or to do vaginal examination.Let we discuss that "observe" particularly, seeing how do they deliver and of course we have to observe the women's private part . But of course with the most pure intentions ,to seek knowledge and learn. Personally, even im a girl, i had an experienced being rejected by the patient.Opps, its not the patient actually, but the patient's husband.Hehehe. Let it be, just find and ask consent from another patient.No big deal.No heartbroken... ( ermm a lil bit lolz).

[Forgive me ,it will be quite sensitive part]
The most curious part was, when the patient came into the ward/labour room and ask " saya nak doctor perempuan saja, taknak doctor lelaki" .Of course there will be a female specialist, but most of them were male doctors. It's "segan la dengan doctor lelaki, aurat la", but how would you expect about aurah when if someone came with freehair. So, its not about the religion concern, but its a matter of culture and environment of "segan la".The reality is, when i did my oncall at night,all the doctor sometimes were the same doctor as the day before and they had work for a long time,and in an emergency condition the patient still ask for a female doctors when there were only one(or two) female specialist. And please dont say that conducting ONE spontaneous vaginal delivery (SVD) [i mean she deliver normally ] is not tiring. I did experienced observing a male house officer conducted 3 SVD  continuously.Me myself can't cope with just one patient.Padahal you just standing beside and observe...
Haha im bad about explaining the real condition, just imagine it as how it suppose to be.

The message that i want you to know that, just be honest with yourself.Give our mind some space and reflect (muhasabah).Why i want to do this thing? To whom we want to please the most ? Where did we put HIM, is it the last or the second one after another thing?

وَاسْتَعِينُواْ بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلاَةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَكَبِيرَةٌ إِلاَّ عَلَى الْخَاشِعِينَ {45}
الَّذِينَ يَظُنُّونَ أَنَّهُم مُّلاَقُوا رَبِّهِمْ وَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ {46}

45. "And seek you help (from Allah) through patience and prayer;
and most surely it is a hard thing, save upon the humble,"

46. "Those who bear in mind the certainty that they will meet their Lord and that verily unto Him shall they return."
Surah AlBaqarah

May Allah bless us.Amin.
